In two sentences

Reading this site tells us nothing about you: no cookies, no analytics, no social buttons, and the typefaces are served by the site itself rather than by a third party.

We only know something about you once you write to us or place an order, and only what it takes to answer you and deliver.

Who is responsible

Raphaël MAGINOT, a sole trader whose details are on the Legal notice page, decides on this processing and answers for it.

What we collect, and why

Placing an order

Name, delivery address, email, phone. To make it, ship it and keep you posted. Without them there is no order: performing the contract is what justifies them. Kept for three years after your last order.

Paying

Payment is handled by our provider, who alone sees your bank details. We only receive a confirmation. We store no card number.

Invoicing

Name, address, amount. French law makes us keep invoices for ten years, so we cannot delete them sooner.

Writing to us

Your email address and what you tell us. To answer you, which is our legitimate interest and probably yours. Kept for three years after the last exchange.

We neither sell nor rent any of this. We run no targeted advertising, and no automated decision is made about you.

Who else sees it

Three kinds of provider, each for one task and that task only:

Site hosting

OVH SAS, in Roubaix, France.

Delivery

La Poste, who receives your name, your address and a way to reach you.

Payment

Stripe Payments Europe, Limited, in Ireland, who handles the transaction and alone sees your bank details.

Email

Nobody else. In particular, no ad network and no analytics tool.

Outside Europe

The site, its hosting and the delivery all stay in France.

Stripe is the exception: established in Ireland, it may transfer data to its parent company in the United States, framed by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. That is the price of card payment.

Taking it back

You can ask at any time to see what we hold, have it corrected, have it deleted, get a usable copy of it, restrict what we do with it, or object to processing based on our legitimate interest.

Write to hello@chibipuppies.com. We answer within one month. We may ask for something that proves who you are, and nothing more.

One honest limit: we cannot delete an invoice before the ten-year legal period, even at your request.

If our answer does not suit you, you can complain to the French data protection authority at cnil.fr.

Cookies

This site sets none, not even a technical one. That is why no banner met you on arrival: we have nothing for you to accept.

The day online payment makes one necessary, this page will say so before it is set.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Orders and messages sit in accounts protected by distinct passwords and two-factor authentication, and access is limited to the one person named above.

No measure being infallible, if a breach affected your data and put you at risk, we would tell you directly.

If this page changes

The date at the bottom shows the last change. Anything that really concerns you, such as a new recipient of your data, will be emailed to everyone who has ordered.
